Morning Netilat Yadayim with Kavanot from Shir HaShirim for Protection Throughout the Day
Chazal teach that when a man or woman performs “
Netilat Yadayim” every morning, especially with kavanot/segulot, these sparks illuminate the home and the people who live in it, spread a protective covering over them, and guard them throughout the day.
The holy Rabbi Yehuda Ashkenazi—the “Baal Be'er Heitiv on the Shulchan Aruch,” a great tzadik and posek of halakhah—(such people rarely offer segulot, which is precisely what makes this segulah so valuable) gives us a rare and special segulah. He teaches that morning “
Netilat Yadayim” performed with the proper kavanot makes it possible to “
limtzo Chen ve-Chesed”—to find favor in the eyes of G-d and people.
Chazal explain that through “M’tziat Chen ve-Chesed,” a person opens a channel of blessing for every area of life: parnassah, shidduchim, health, nachat from children, and more.
Through this segulah, a person establishes protection for the entire day and draws salvation.
