Segulot of the Keter Prayer in the Musaf of Yom Kippur
The
Arizal (may his merit protect us) teaches that there is a very powerful segula during the Musaf prayer in the synagogue, on both days of Rosh Hashanah and on Yom Kippur, in the second blessing of the Amidah,
"Mighty One".
During the repetition of the prayer by the chazzan—the
Chazarat HaShatz—when the prayer
"Keter" is recited, one should have kavanah upon the phrase
"Ayeh Makom Kevodo" and, drawing out the word
"Ayeh", silently ask Hashem for one of the three things with which He grants special blessing at that moment, namely:
Ruach HaKodesh, children (righteous ones), and
osher (wealth used in the service of the Almighty).
The mekubal
Rabbi Mordechai Sharabi adds that on each of the three days, one should remember a different request:
on the
first day of Rosh Hashanah, one should ask for Ruach HaKodesh,
on the
second day of Rosh Hashanah—for righteous children,
and on
Yom Kippur—one should ask for wealth.
The recitation of the word
"Ayeh" is also an auspicious time to ask for the preservation of one's Torah knowledge and for a proper understanding of the Torah.
Kavanot of Hashem's Holy Name in the Keter Prayer, when reciting the word "Ayeh"
On Rosh Hashanah, when reciting the words
"Ayeh Makom Kevodo" in the
"Keter" section of the Musaf prayer, one should have kavanah that the kubutz vowel (three diagonal dots) appears beneath the
"yud" in
"Ayeh", while the kamatz vowel appears beneath the following letter,
"hei".
A kubutz consists of three small
"yuds", so its numerical value is
30 (3 x 10).
A kamatz consists of a
"yud" and a
"vav", so its numerical value is
16 (10 + 6).
Therefore, the combined numerical value of these two vowels is
46.
This number is significant because it is connected with the milui of the Name Havayah whose gematria is
72. This Name is formed by spelling out the names of the four letters that comprise the Name Havayah (
"yud," "hei," "vav," and
"hei").
The numerical value of the word
"yud" is 20; the numerical value of the word
"hei" (spelled
"hei," "yud") is 15; the numerical value of the word
"vav" (spelled
"vav," "yud," "vav") is 22; and the numerical value of the second
"hei" is 15.
The sum of these letters is 72.
However, if we count only the milui letters added to the original four letters (
"yud," "hei," "vav," and
"hei"), we arrive at 46. This should be remembered when reciting the words
"Ayeh Makom Kevodo" during Musaf on the festivals.

Translation
They will crown You, L-rd our G-d, the hosts of angels above and the children of Israel, Your people, gathered below. Together they will proclaim Your holiness three times, as written by Your prophet: "They called to one another and proclaimed: 'Holy, holy, holy is the L-rd of Hosts! The whole earth is filled with His glory!' The world is filled with His glory, and His ministering angels ask one another:
'Where is the abode of His glory, to which we shall offer praise [to the Almighty]?' Like [the seraphim], [the ofanim and the holy chayot] praise [the Almighty] and say: 'Blessed is the glory of the L-rd wherever it dwells!'
From the place where He dwells, He will mercifully turn to His people, who proclaim morning and evening that He alone is One, reciting twice each day, continually and with love, 'Hear...':
'Hear, O Israel, the L-rd is our G-d, the L-rd is One!' He is our G-d, He is our Father, He is our King, He is our Savior; He will soon redeem and save us again, and in His mercy He will proclaim to us before the eyes of all living: 'Behold, I have redeemed you, and at the end of time, as I redeemed you in ancient days—so that I may be your G-d; I am the L-rd your G-d.' And in Your holy Scriptures it is written: 'The L-rd shall reign forever; your G-d, O Zion, from generation to generation, hallelujah!'
In the performance of the central prayer of the Musaf of the
"Days of Awe"—

"Ayeh" can be clearly heard here:
