19th Day of Each Month—How to Receive Help from Heaven Within 3 Days
19th day of each month
Ben Ish Chai, in his book
“Nifla’im Ma’asecha” , citing an ancient work, says that each day of the month—Ha-Yom Yom—is designated for a particular purpose.
The
19th day of the month is the day on which our forefather Isaac married Rebecca. The sign associated with this day is found in the words
בואי כלה — “Bo’i Kallah” (come, bride)—the gematria of the word
בואי “
come” is 19.
Since
“Ma’aseh Avot—Siman la-Banim” (the deeds of the fathers are a sign for their children [descendants]), the Sages infer that this day is designated for prayer. If one recites
Tehillim together with
“Akedat Yitzchak”—the section about the Binding of Isaac—this person’s prayer will be accepted, and help from Heaven will come within 3 days.
Reciting “Akedat Yitzchak” 3 times during Shacharit
Shacharit draws down blessings—the morning, the time when Chesed awakens—while the
Mincha prayer, through the
Akedah, binds the blessings to our world so that they remain with a person. [Before the Akedah, the gates of prayer were closed. Prayers were not accepted until Abraham cut through the knot.]
Reciting
“Akedat Yitzchak” 3 times during Shacharit breaks the chains and shatters the iron locks of the Gates of Prayer, piercing several firmaments.
Reciting “Akedat Yitzchak” 7 times
The mekubal
Rabbi Avraham Hamui, in his book
“Imalet Nafsho”, taught that for
“shinui mazal” (changing one’s mazal for the better) and
“petichat hasimot” (opening what is blocked), a person should recite
“Akedat Yitzchak” 7 times with kavanah and tears, together with prayers before and after. Then Midat Ha-Rachamim will prevail over all his judgments.
Segula
1. Recite Tehillim 119 to elevate one’s mazal
It consists of the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet, and it can be recited according to the letters of a name—at the end, the letters of the word “mazal”.—Details at the link:
Reading Tehillim 119 According to the Letters of a Name—the Segula of Rabbeinu Chida
It contains a pasuk connected with “Akedat Yitzchak”—why, after the angel appeared to him and halted the sacrifice of Isaac, Abraham Avinu nevertheless carried out the Akedah. Details at the link:
Tehillim 119 – Akedat Yitzchak and Bracha Levatala
- The 33rd pasuk is a segula for elevating one’s mazal. The pasuk should be recited 7 times:
הוֹרֵנִי יְהוָה דֶּרֶךְ חֻקֶּיךָ וְאֶצְּרֶנָּה עֵקֶב
-
“Horeni Ad-nai derekh chukecha, ve-etzrenah ekkev”—(Teach me, G-d, the way of Your statutes, and I will observe it to the end).
Then recite:
יהי רצון בזכות השם הק'מ יקים ה' מזלי לטובה ולברכה
“Yehi ratzon bi-zchut Ha-Shem Hei-Qof-Mem yakim Ad-nai mazali le-tovah ve-li-vrachah”—(May it be Your will that, in the merit of the Name Hei-Qof-Mem, my mazal should rise for goodness and blessing).
To strengthen the segula’s effect, look at the letters of this Name in both forward and reverse order:
Hei Qof Mem— ה ק מ
Mem Qof Hei—מ ק ה
2. The prayer “Akedat Yitzchak”
A special prayer of the Ben Ish Chai and the complete text of
“Akedat Yitzchak” are available at the link:
