Tehillim 45 – Prayer—Clothing for the Soul
Tehillim 45:15- “Lirkamot tuval la-Melech, betulot achareha re'oteha muva'ot lach” - (in embroidered garments she will be brought to the King, and there her companions will be brought to you).
In the era of Mashiach, all Jews—even those who have distanced themselves from G-d—will be brought back.
The “embroidered garments” refer to being clothed in prayers; that is, the soul will clothe itself in prayers;
“the princess” refers to the soul;
“will be brought to the King” refers to Mashiach;
“her companions” refers to fallen souls;
“will be brought to you” means that they will rise spiritually;
This teaches that the primary weapon for every Jew in the era of Mashiach’s arrival—which is our time—is prayer.
So that the soul will not be naked (and ashamed), it must clothe itself (in prayers).(based on the book by Rabbi Nachman of Breslov, “Likutei Moharan,” lesson 2–8)
