May the Temple be rebuilt speedily in our days, and there we shall perform before You the rite of the scapegoat, and we shall willingly offer the goats as a sin offering, to sweeten the severity and strength of the Queen. This hen will go to its death, while you will enter and go to a good, long, and peaceful life); One who circles for everyone together says three times and has kavanah for the Holy Name (חת"ך): אֵלּוּ חֲלִיפַתְכֶם. אֵלּוּ תְּמוּרַתְכֶם. אֵלּוּ כַּפָּרַתְכֶם. אֵלּוּ הַתַּרְנְגוֹלִים יֵלְכוּ לְמִיתָה. וְאַתֶּם תִּכָּנְסוּ וְתֵלְכוּ לְחַיִּים טוֹבִים וַאֲרוּכִים וּלְשָׁלוֹם: - «Eleu chalifatechem, eleu temuratechem, eleu kaparatechem. Eleu ha-tarnegolim yelchu le-mitah ve-atem tikanesu ve-telechu le-chaim tovim arukim u-le-shalom» - (These are your substitutes, these are your replacements, these are your atonements. These rooster and hen will go to their deaths, while you will enter and go to a good, long, and peaceful life).  

KAPAROT WITH MONEY

If a person does not have a rooster or hen, let him take money in his hand and say: [One who circles it for himself says three times]: אֵלּוּ הַמָּעוֹת חֲלִיפָתִי. אֵלּוּ תְּמוּרָתִי. אֵלּוּ כַּפָּרָתִי. אֵלּוּ הַמָּעוֹת יִנָּתְנוּ לִצְדָקָה. וַאֲנִי אֶכָּנֵס לְחַיִּים טוֹבִים וַאֲרוּכִים וּלְשָׁלוֹם. - «Eleu ha-ma'ot chalifati, eleu temurati, eleu kaparati. Eleu ha-ma'ot yinatnu li-tzedakah va-ani ekanes le-chaim tovim ve-arukim u-le-shalom» - (These coins are my substitute, these are my replacement, these are my atonement. These coins will be given to tzedakah, while I will go to a good, long, and peaceful life); One who circles it for another man says three times: אֵלּוּ הַמָּעוֹת חֲלִיפָתֶךָ. אֵלּוּ תְּמוּרָתֶךָ. אֵלּוּ כַּפָּרָתֶךָ. אֵלּוּ הַמָּעוֹת יִנָּתְנוּ לִצְדָקָה. וְאַתָּה תִּכָּנֵס לְחַיִּים טוֹבִים וַאֲרוּכִים וּלְשָׁלוֹם: - «Eleu ha-ma'ot chalifatecha, eleu temuratecha, eleu kaparatecha.
