Ben Ish Chai, of blessed memory, teaches that it is customary to light an oil lamp le-khvod nishmat Rabbi Meir Baal HaNes (zechuto yagen aleinu) on Rosh Chodesh Tevet. (Hilchot Chanukah 28)
There is also a segula for all salvations—to light a candle every day of Chanukah (each evening) le-khvod Rabbi Meir Baal HaNes and, after giving tzedakah le-khvod the tzadik, recite the words (or preferably the entire prayer): “Eloka DeRabbi Meir Aneni” (three times).
Then collect all the wicks and keep them. After the holiday, place them in a bag and put them under your pillow for three days—this is a segula for all salvations. (Yeshivat Kise Rachamim, Yura Plishtiev)Rabbi Chaim Palagi of Izmir taught that during Chanukah, and especially on Rosh Chodesh Tevet, it is appropriate to give tzedakah in honor of Rabbi Meir Baal HaNes and send money to the chachamim and rabbanim in Tiberias (where Rabbi Meir Baal HaNes is buried). Whoever does so will see miracles from HaShem—this has been repeatedly verified. (Moed LeKol Chai 27:76)
Therefore, beside the Chanukiah, set up a candlestick for lighting, throughout the eight days of Chanukah, a candle le-khvod Rabbi Meir Baal HaNes (alev ha-shalom), and, after giving tzedakah, recite the prayer—“Eloka DeRabbi Meir Aneni.”The prayer “Eloka DeRabbi Meir Aneni.”
“Eloka DeMeir Aneni! Eloka DeMeir Aneni! Eloka DeMeir Aneni!

Translation:“G-d of Rabbi Meir, answer me! G-d of Rabbi Meir, answer me! G-d of Rabbi Meir, answer me!Master of the universe! Behold, I am giving this amount of tzedakah (or: oil for illumination; or: candles for the synagogue) in memory of the souls of our forefathers, the fathers of the world—Avraham, Yitzchak, and Yaakov—in memory of the soul of the Tanna and miracle-worker Rabbi Meir, and in memory of the souls of all the righteous.May it be Your will, HaShem our G-d and G-d of our forefathers, just as You heard their prayers and performed miracles and wonders for them, openly and secretly, saved them from every trouble and misfortune, and brought them from darkness into light;just as You heard the prayer of Your servant Meir and performed miracles and wonders for him, so, at this time of mercy and favor, perform miracles and wonders for me (name of the person praying) and for all Your people Israel, openly and secretly, and save us from every trouble and misfortune, from now and forever.(When praying for a sick person, add: And in particular, send a complete recovery to…)(If one wishes to find favor in the eyes of an important person, add: And may the Holy One, blessed be He, grant me grace, favor, and mercy in the eyes of all who see me, and especially in the eyes of my master…)(If one wishes to be saved from trouble or slander, say: Just as You thwarted the plan of the wicked Haman, so too thwart and destroy the plan of my informer…)May the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart be pleasing before You, HaShem, my Rock and Redeemer.”(From the “Zechut Avot” website; the text of the prayer is from the book “Tehillim—Segulot,” published by “Shorashim”)
