Translation Master of the universe, my Father, merciful Father, full of compassion! Please draw down upon me the awe of standing at Mount Sinai, so that I may attain awe of You, blessed are You, and accept the awe inspired by the laws of Your holy Torah and observe them properly.Grant me the merit of hearing the voices and thunderbolts, and all that took place at the standing at Mount Sinai. May these voices and thunderbolts remove the hold of the kelipot—the impure shells—from me and from my eyes. Then may I merit to behold Your Divine Presence, blessed are You, and attain true apprehensions of Divinity, without any aspect of evil or any illusion.
Merciful One, please grant me the merit of joy and holy gladness. May I share in the joy of Moses our Teacher when he ascended on high. Pour great joy upon me for the fact that You did not make me a non-Jew. Through this, may I soon and swiftly merit to transform all sorrow into great joy, rise above all the vanities of this world, and merit to cleave myself to You, blessed are You.
Please, in Your mercy, grant me the merit that, through the strength of this great joy, I may come to hear all that took place at the standing at Mount Sinai. Pour great awe of You upon me. In Your mercy, grant me the merit to observe the laws of Your statutes properly. May I be saved from every prohibition in the world and never transgress Your Torah.
Please grant me the merit always to heed the voice of the sages who transmit Your Torah. May I come to hear the voices and thunderbolts from the standing at Mount Sinai, and the Ten Statements, which correspond to the letter י of Your holy Name.
Through this, please grant me the merit to attain da'at—knowledge—which corresponds to the letter ה of Your holy Name. Unite them in complete unity, so that what is written may be fulfilled: “For through Yah, A-do-nai, is the stronghold of worlds established.”
Pour upon me and upon the entire world all the supernal influences. In Your mercy, remember all those who are childless, and pour abundance upon Your people Israel. Amen. Netzach. Selah. Va'ed.
