Healing Matrix from the TorahThe Yanuka Gaon teaches that each time a person recites this verse from Parshat Beshalach, every form of healing descends into the world. All illnesses and destructive forces tremble before it. Therefore, one should remember to recite this verse at the end of every prayer.(Gaon, Yanuka, shlita)(Exodus 15:26)כו וַיֹּאמֶר אִם-שָׁמוֹעַ תִּשְׁמַע לְקוֹל יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ, וְהַיָּשָׁר בְּעֵינָיו תַּעֲשֶׂה, וְהַאֲזַנְתָּ לְמִצְוֹתָיו, וְשָׁמַרְתָּ כָּל-חֻקָּיו--כָּל-הַמַּחֲלָה אֲשֶׁר-שַׂמְתִּי בְמִצְרַיִם, לֹא-אָשִׂים עָלֶיךָ, כִּי אֲנִי יְהוָה, רֹפְאֶךָTransliteration“Vayomer im-shamoa tishma lekol Adonai Elohecha vehayashar be'einav ta'aseh veha'azanta lemitzvotav veshamarta kol-chukav kol-hamachalah asher-samti ve-Mitzrayim lo asim alecha ki ani Adonai rofecha.” Translation(And He said: If you will heed the voice of the L-rd, your G-d, and do what is right in His eyes, and will do what He commands, and will heed His commandments and observe all His statutes, then all the diseases that I brought upon Mitzrayim, I will not bring upon you; for I am the L-rd, your healer.)P.S.It is interesting that immediately after this pasuk comes a verse recounting that the Jews arrived at Eilim (the next of the 42 encampments), where 70 date palms and 12 springs of water awaited them. The collection of midrashim known as the “Mekhilta” states that the palms and springs were merely physical signs pointing to the hidden spiritual reality that the Children of Israel were privileged to attain at this place. (Sefer HaBahir 161, 166–167)Rabbeinu Bachya explains that they came to know the 12 higher angels who govern the processes of nature—three angels in each of the four directions—and that they are called the “four camps of the Shechinah.” The 70 date palms allude to the 70 sarim (higher angels) surrounding the Throne of Glory of the Almighty, each of whom governs one of the 70 nations of the world. A special allusion lies in the fact that the 70 palms draw their life force from the 12 springs, which symbolize the four camps of the Shechinah. Correspondingly, from the family of Jacob, which initially numbered only 70 people, emerged the 12 tribes of the people of Israel, divided into four camps arranged in the four directions. At that point, the true meaning of the Torah’s account of the forefathers and the hidden meaning of the commandments are revealed, for all of these are signs and archetypes given to us in the physical world so that we may come to know the holy secrets of the higher worlds. (R. Bachya on Exodus 15:27)
