How to Protect Your Home and City from Calamity through Tehillim During Wartime
For the Protection of the CityTehillim 119Rabbeinu Chida (zechuto yagen aleinu) teaches that, in the event of a calamity in the city where a person lives, the letters of the city's name should be recited using the corresponding sections of Tehillim 119. During wartime in Israel, this is especially important. This is an excellent segula for protection from any misfortune, as written at the end of the book “Kitzur Ha-Shloh” (geonei olam).
For example, to pray for the city of Jerusalem, read the following verses of Psalm 119, corresponding to its letters:

Translation:
May it be Your will, G-d, our G-d and the G-d of our forefathers, that the following verses be fulfilled for us: “No evil shall befall you, and no plague shall come near your home,” “How goodly are your tents, O Jacob, your dwelling places, O Israel.” Amen, may such be His will!
For the Protection of the Home
It is written in the holy books that, in order to save a home from troubles and misfortunes, Psalm 91 of Tehillim should be recited seven times. During wartime, this is especially important.
1. Fill a bucket with water and say: “I am drawing this water in order to protect myself and my family in house no. , apartment no. .”
2. Then recite Psalm 91 of Tehillim over the water as follows:
Tehillim 90:17 (twice)
“Vihi noam A-donai Eloheinu aleinu, uma'aseh yadeinu konenah aleinu, uma'aseh yadeinu konenehu.”
Tehillim 91 (seven times)
Yoshev beseter Elyon, betzel Shaddai yitlonan.
Omar la-A-donai, machsi umetzudati, Elohai evtach bo.
Ki hu yatzilecha mipach yakush, midever havot.
Be'evrato yasech lach (recite the names of all family members together with their mother's names)
vetachat kenafav teches, tzinah vesochera amito.
Lo tira mipachad layla, mechetz ya'uf yomam.
Midever ba'ofel yahaloch, miketev yashud tzohorayim.
Yipol mitzidcha elef, ureva'ah miminecha, elecha lo yigash.
Rak be'einecha tabit, veshilumat resha'im tir'eh.
Ki atah A-donai machsi, Elyon samta me'onecha.
Lo te'uneh elecha ra'ah, venega lo yikrav be'ohalecha.
Ki malachav yetzaveh lach, lishmorcha bechol derachecha.
Al kapayim yisa'uncha, pen tigof ba'even raglecha.
Al shachal vafeten tidroch, tirmos kefir vetanin.
Ki vi chashak va'afaltehu, asag'vehu ki yada Shemi.
Yikra'eni ve'e'enehu, imo anochi vetzarah, achaltzehu va'achabdehu.
Orech yamim asbi'ehu, ve'ar'ehu bishu'ati.
3. Then wash the floors with this water; you may also pour it around the house.
4. It is important to give three coins to charity and say three times: “Eloka de-Meir Aneni”—it is preferable to recite the entire prayer.
May it be the will of the Almighty to annul all judgments and harsh decrees against the People of Israel!
