Tehillim 87

Transliteration

(1) livnei-korach mizmor shir yesudato beharrei-kodesh

(2) ohev Ado-nai shaarei tzion mikol mishkenot yaakov

(3) nikhbadot medubar bakh ir haelohim sela

(4) azkir rahav uvavel leyodai hine feleshet vetzor im-kush ze yulad-sham

(5) ulatzion yeamar ish veish yulad-bah vehu yekhonneha elyon

(6) Ado-nai yispor bikhtov amim ze yulad-sham sela

(7) vesharim kechollim kal-mayanai bakh

Translation

(1) A Psalm of the sons of Korah; a Song. His foundation is in the holy mountains.

(2) The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.

(3) Glorious things are spoken of Thee, O city of God. Selah

(4) 'I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon as among them that know Me; behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this one was born there.'

(5) But of Zion it shall be said: 'This man and that was born in her; And the Most High Himself doth establish her.'

(6) The LORD shall count in the register of the peoples: 'This one was born there.' Selah

(7) And whether they sing or dance, all my thoughts are in Thee.

א לִבְנֵי־קֹ֭רַח מִזְמ֣וֹר שִׁ֑יר יְ֝סוּדָת֗וֹ בְּהַרְרֵי־קֹֽדֶשׁ׃ ב אֹהֵ֣ב יְ֭הוָה שַׁעֲרֵ֣י צִיּ֑וֹן מִ֝כֹּ֗ל מִשְׁכְּנ֥וֹת יַעֲקֹֽב׃ ג נִ֭כְבָּדוֹת מְדֻבָּ֣ר בָּ֑ךְ עִ֖יר הָאֱלֹהִ֣ים סֶֽלָה׃ ד אַזְכִּ֤יר ׀ רַ֥הַב וּבָבֶ֗ל לְֽיֹ֫דְעָ֥י הִנֵּ֤ה פְלֶ֣שֶׁת וְצ֣וֹר עִם־כּ֑וּשׁ זֶ֝֗ה יֻלַּד־שָֽׁם׃ ה וּֽלֲצִיּ֨וֹן ׀ יֵאָמַ֗ר אִ֣ישׁ וְ֭אִישׁ יֻלַּד־בָּ֑הּ וְה֖וּא יְכוֹנְנֶ֣הָ עֶלְיֽוֹן׃ ו יְֽהוָ֗ה יִ֭סְפֹּר בִּכְת֣וֹב עַמִּ֑ים זֶ֖ה יֻלַּד־שָׁ֣ם סֶֽלָה׃ ז וְשָׁרִ֥ים כְּחֹלְלִ֑ים כָּֽל־מַעְיָנַ֥י בָּֽךְ׃
