Shalom Yosef Friedman of Sadigura

Rabbi Shalom Yosef ben Yisrael mi-Ruzhin Friedman of Sadigura was the eldest son of Rabbi Yisrael of Ruzhin (1812-1851) Yahrzeit - Burial place - Leipzig, Germany Sadigura is a Chassidic dynasty, one of the branches of the Ruzhiner dynasty. The dynasty began with Rabbi Avraham Yaakov Friedman of Sadigura, who was the son of Rabbi Yisrael Friedman of Ruzhin, founder of the Ruzhiner dynasty. All six of his sons founded Chassidic dynasties, including: Sadigura, Boyan, Chortkov, Husiatyn, and Bohush. Reb Sholom Yosef was originally buried in the Old Jewish Cemetery in Leipzig; however, the Nazis exhumed about 330 graves and moved them to a mass grave in the new Jewish cemetery in Leipzig.
