Cheshvan is my month, and all the tzadikim who passed away in Cheshvan are especially dear to me: Rachel Imeinu, Binyamin ben Yaakov, Rabbi Yisrael of Ruzhin, Rabbi Tzvi Hirsh of Rimanov, Rav Ovadia Yosef, the Chazon Ish, Matityahu Kohen HaGadol, the Admor of Piaseczno, Rabbi Mordechai Sharabi, Rabbi Raphael Baruch Toledano, and others.
24 Cheshvan is the yahrzeit of one of the great Rebbes, the son of the famous Admor of Zvhil — Rebbe Shloimke (Shlomo) (not to be confused when visiting the graves).
Rabbi Gedalia Moshe was one of the hidden tzadikim of his generation; he was the son of the famous tzadik and miracle worker Rabbi Shloimke of Zvhil.
During his father's lifetime he served as rabbi and headed the local yeshiva. During breaks, the students would play a game called "the needle" – they would open a volume of the Talmud and mark a letter on one of the pages with a needle. Rabbi Gedalia Moshe could recite from memory, without looking, the letters that lay exactly beneath that letter on every page to the end of the tractate.
In 1948, as a result of the war, Jerusalem was cut off from the traditional cemetery on the Mount of Olives. Temporarily, until a new permanent site could be found, it was decided to bury the dead in a tiny plot called "Sheikh Bader." It was there, and not next to his father, that Rabbi Gedalia Moshe was buried.
Unlike the grave of Rabbi Shloimke, which is famous throughout the Jewish world, the burial place of his son remained obscure for many years. Only a handful of people, family members, knew of it.
After several instances in which people merited miraculous salvation through prayer at this grave, this tiny cemetery in the center of the city, near "Gan Sacher," became very popular.
Jews in difficult situations come to the grave of the Rebbe of Zvhil, pray, recite Tehillim, and their prayers are answered.
How the Popularity Began
Several years ago he appeared in a dream to one of his descendants in London and said that he would intercede in Heaven for anyone who visited his grave three days in a row on specific days: Monday – Thursday – Monday. And indeed, everyone who visited the Rebbe's grave merited miracles and answers to their prayers.
Starting from the 23rd of Cheshvan, the police already prepare for an endless stream of pilgrims to the grave of the Rebbe of Zvhil — those who have heard about the miracles that followed a visit to his grave, and those who return to thank the Rebbe – people come back and bring notes to his grave about the miracle that took place.
A few years ago I saw a huge billboard in Jerusalem with a photo of the Rebbe of Zvhil, and later, on Lag BaOmer, the same photo, but this time in Meron. I became curious about who this tzadik was, and after reading many amazing things about him and learning from an American website that, statistically, his grave ranks third in visitors in Israel, after Meron and the grave of Rachel — I became eager to visit his resting place.
And, with G-d's help (Bezrat Hashem), in the month of June the Yeshiva "Yodei Binah" organized such a trip at my request.
So, one must visit the grave of the tzadik, the Rebbe of Zvhil, three times in a row: שני — חמישי – שני (Monday-Thursday-Monday).
And on each visit, the Rebbe of Zvhil advised reciting the chapters of Tehillim given below.
On the third visit, promise that if your prayer is answered you will return to tell of the miracle – you will see at the grave a huge board with 1,000 notes of gratitude attached to it.
