Rabbi Aharon Moshe Teomim of Krakow

Rav Aharon Moshe Teomim (1690) was the Rav of Krakow.

He married Rivka (nicknamed "Shtern") – one of the 11 children of the nobleman Rabbi Yisrael HaLevi Horowitz "Monk" (1500-1573) and his wife Orzila (Rachel or Roza).

Rivka's brother, Rabbi Pinchas, was married to Miriam Beila, sister of Rabbi Moshe Isserles (the Rema).

After his father-in-law's death in 1573, Rav Aharon Moshe became head of the Jewish community of Prague (the community councils of all the cities of Bohemia were subordinate to the Jewish National Council of Prague).

Rabbi Aharon Moshe Teomim had 9 children, two of whom belong to the family tree of Rabbi Yehoshua Falk – these were his sons Rav Shmuel Faivish Teomim and Rav Yeshaya Teomim.

Rav Yeshaya Teomim of Prague "merited having a son, great in Torah, the famous Gaon Rav Yona Teomim.

Rav Yona Teomim authored the books "Kikayon de-Yona" and "Chidushei Halacha."

While visiting one of the regions, a Polish nobleman arrested Rav Aharon Moshe without any reason and put him on a horse to take him to prison. Along the way he fell many times, and each time he was placed back on the horse, until he died of his wounds.
