Rabbi Yona Teomim - "Kikayon De'Yona"
Rabbi Yona ben Yeshayahu Teomim Frankel - "Kikayon De'Yona" (1595 - April 16, 1669) - was the author of the well-known work of commentaries on the Talmud, "Kikayon De'Yona" (edited in Amsterdam in 1690 by his son Yehoshua).

Rabbi Yona Teomim was born in Prague and served as a rabbi in Grodno and Pinsk (Lithuania). In 1648, due to the Chmielnicki pogroms, he fled to Vienna, then to Nikolsburg (Austria), and finally to Metz (Lorraine).
Rabbi Yona Teomim was the son of Reb Yeshayahu Teomim. He led various communities as both a Posek and a Rosh Yeshiva throughout Poland and Lithuania. Rabbi Yona served the Jewish community of Metz, France.
He passed away on April 16, 1669 (15 Nissan 5429) and was buried in the well-known Jewish cemetery of Metz, France. His grandson was Rabbi Baruch Frankel-Teomim.
