The Prayer of Hannah is read daily during Shacharit (according to the Sephardic nusach), since it serves as the foundation for the structure of the main Jewish prayer - the "Amidah". It is customary to add at the end of the prayer: "Ribono Shel Olam! Just as You heard the prayer of Hannah, so please hear mine as well!" Rabbi Nachman of Breslov taught that this prayer should be read in front of the Shabbat candles: "My daughter. Recite the Prayer of Hannah by the lit Shabbat candles. Cry and plead for the children you have borne and for those not yet born. This is the best time to speak with Hashem. This is Eit Ratzon - a time of special favor from Heaven toward you. This is a direct connection with the Almighty. Cry and plead, speak with Him, and if you don't know what to say to Him - simply begin speaking with Him, and the Almighty Himself will send you the words you need. The Creator Himself will place in your mouth persuasive words that you would not have expected from yourself. Then you will merit receiving from Him the help you so greatly need."   תפילת חנה "ותתפלל חנה ותאמר עלץ ליבי בה'. רמה קרני בה'. רחב פי על אויבי, כי שמחתי בישועתך. אין קדוש כה', כי אין בלתך, ואין צור כאלוקינו . אל תרבו תדברו גבוהה גבוהה יצא עתק מפיכם כי אל דעות ה', ולו נתכנו עלילות. קשת גיבורים חתים, ונכשלים אזרו חיל. שבעים בלחם נשכרו ורעבים חדלו, עד עקרה ילדה שבעה ,ורבת בנים אומללה. ה' ממית ומחיה, מוריד שאול ויעל. ה' מוריש ומעשיר, משפיל אף מרומם. מקים מעפר דל, מאשפות ירים אביון, להושיב עם נדיבים, וכיסא כבוד ינחילם, כי לה' מצוקי ארץ וישת עליהם תבל. רגלי חסידיו ישמור, ורשעים בחושך ידמו, כי לא בכח יגבר איש. ה' – יחתו מריביו, עליו בשמים ירעם, ה' ,ידין אפסי ארץ ,ויתן עוז למלכו, וירם קרן משיחו". [עד כאן תפילת חנה- נשים מוסיפות] רבונו של עולם, כשם ששמעתה לחנה בתפילתה , כן תשמע ותענה לתפילתי ובשחרית מוסיפים: "אתיהו כמה רברבין, ותמהוהי כמה תקיפין ,מלכותיה מלכות עלם ,ושלטנה עם דר ודר. ואנחנו עמך וצאן מרעיתך ,נודה לך לעולם לדור ודור נספר תהילתך. ערב ובוקר וצהרים אשיחה ואהמה וישמע קולי. ברן יחד כוכבי בוקר, ויריעו כל בני אלקים:לא אירא מרבבות עם אשר סביב שתו עלי. ואני בה' אצפה, אוחילה לאלקי ישעי, ישמעני אלקי. אל תשמחי אויבתי לי, כי נפלתי קמתי ,כי אשב בחושך, ה' אור לי. Veten li banim zecharim, chaim vekayamim, oskim betorateicha, hakedosha, udveikim becha kmo Shmuel hanavi, she'ne'emar bo: "Vehana'ar Shmuel holech vegadel vetov gam im Ado-nai vegam im anashim, velo ta'ale shum kinah vesinah ve'ein hara aleihem, veten li koach uvriut legadlam benakel, ulehatzi'am samuch lefirkam mamash, be'ofen she'yihyu shmurim min hachet, veyihyu devukim becha tamid be'emunah brurah umezuka'at, velo yihye shum psul bezar'i le'olam, ve'ezke lir'ot banim livneihem vetiten li ulevaali arichut yamim veshanim tovot, venirveh rov nachat mikol tze'etza'einu vetze'etza'ei tze'etza'einu me'ata ve'ad olam amen sela.   Translation "And Hannah prayed and said: my heart rejoices in the L-rd, my strength is exalted in the L-rd. My mouth is opened wide over my enemies, for I rejoice in Your salvation. There is none holy as the L-rd, for there is none besides You; there is no rock like our G-d. Multiply not exceeding proud talk; let not arrogance come out of your mouth, for the L-rd is a G-d of knowledge, and by Him actions are weighed. The bows of the mighty are broken, and those who stumbled are girded with strength. Those who were full hire themselves out for bread, and the hungry cease to hunger. The barren woman bears seven, and she who has many children languishes. The L-rd kills and makes alive; He brings down to the grave and raises up. The L-rd makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and He lifts up. He raises the poor from the dust, and lifts the needy from the ash heap, to set them among nobles, and He gives them a seat of honor as inheritance. For the pillars of the earth are the L-rd's, and He has set the world upon them. He guards the feet of His pious ones, but the wicked shall be silenced in darkness, for by strength shall no man prevail. Those who contend with the L-rd shall be broken to pieces; He shall thunder against them from heaven. The L-rd shall judge the ends of the earth, and He shall give strength to His king, and exalt the horn of His anointed." Master of the world! Just as You heard the prayer of Hannah in her time of distress, so hear my prayer in my time of distress, which weighs upon me now [personal request], and grant that I raise my sons in health, that they may occupy themselves with Your holy Torah and cleave to You, like the prophet Shmuel, as it is said of him: "And the child Shmuel grew and was in favor both with Hashem and with men." May no envy or hatred come near them, and may no evil eye be upon them. Give me strength and health to raise them with ease, to bring them to their wedding canopy, to the time when they will be able to guard themselves from sin, cleaving to You forever in clear and pure faith. And may their offspring never be unfit, and may I merit to see grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
